These are sulfur bacteria Beggiatoa magnified 1000x, and I think they are my favorite bacteria! These filaments are able to move really fast, it's a real-time video! . The black dots you see inside the filaments are sulfur inclusions, which Beggiatoa stored by oxidizing hydrogen sulfide to sulfur! .
