Portland doesn’t have a Homeless crisis. Portland has a mental health and addiction crisis. We also have a crisis in leadership that doesn’t seem to understand what the right approaches to help these vulnerable individuals. It’s timely rethink the approach and collaborate on a standardized model. The 61% increase in homelessness in Portland Metro will be a boom to the Homeless Industrial Complex. The system has proven yet again they can’t solve this complex yet not very complicated problem. We need to start holding them accountable and/or seek new leadership and most importantly stop giving them money. #homeless | Truth on the streets
