From flat pack to fabulous - how to paint your Ikea furniture so it lasts! 🖌 Here is my 3-step tried and tested method for painting laminated furniture: 1. Prime - do not skip this step! I use a shellac-based primer as it sticks brilliantly to glossy surfaces (@zinnseruk BIN is my go-to primer). Apply two thin coats using a roller and brush for the corners, leaving it to dry in between coats. I leave it to cure for a couple of days before going onto the next step. 2.
