Without getting into the politics of feeding pollen substitute… I do. 😂 And honestly? It’s mostly to keep my bees out of the neighborhood chicken feed — including my own! When they’re ready to brood up and natural pollen is still scarce, they’ll absolutely raid the coop looking for protein. So I give them a little boost for about 3 weeks. Just enough to bridge the gap. Once the maples pop, they drop the substitute like yesterday’s news and head straight for the real, nutritious stuff. 🌳🐝 And
