I’m stitching out this beautiful design from karleeporter.com called “Mexican Tile 6” and I’ve sized it down to 4.5 inches. I’m using my favorite thread, @sulkythreads 40 wt Rayon, and two layers of Warm & Natural from @thewarmco for some extra stability and loft. Is exported from a foreign country? Has a certain amount of analog tools used vs. machines/power tools? Is it when the profit margin for selling that item reaches a certain threshold? My thoughts (perhaps uneducated thoughts) on tariffs and overseas production of goods… mostly what I want to know: With a 25% hike in tariffs on almost all major fabric company’s fabrics, would we even be able to compete with that higher price if yardage were to be produced in the US instead?
